CEMA Network: Tech Theme for Tech Marketers

The Internet is shaking up the way we do business. The new tools to e-market events, e-register attendees, and e-communicate with suppliers are just the basics. There's a lot to talk about, and that's exactly what we'll do in July at Summit 2000, the annual meeting of the Computer Event Marketing Association. Our theme this year, "Improving the NETWorth of Your Event," will zero in on the latest Internet opportunities for IT industry event planners and exhibit managers.

Summit 2000 will convene July 16 to19 at La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, Calif., bringing together more than 250 "movers and shakers" from companies such as Novell, Intel, Apple, Compaq, and Cisco. Learning tracks at the CEMA Summit will look at these new technologies and future trends from various perspectives, including Measurement, Trends, Branding, and Personal Development.

If you're new to the industry or feel you could use a refresher course, don't miss "Jump Start to Event Marketing." The Summit will again kick off with this half-day workshop on the basics of event marketing. Sharpen your skills through case studies and group exercises, and learn how to use event marketing as part of an integrated marketing campaign, as a vehicle for building brand awareness, and as a strategic component in your company's business plan.

When you pack for the meeting, don't forget your sneakers and your appetite. Located on the coast of southern California, the La Costa Resort and Spa features two championship PGA golf courses, world-famous spa facilities, and acclaimed cuisine. It's earned The Robb Report's "Best Spa Worldwide" and "Best Resort Worldwide" distinctions for many years.

On behalf of the CEMA Summit Committee, I look forward to seeing you in California!
