Marriott/Bulgari Lux Brand
Marriott is launching Bulgari Hotels & Resorts, a joint venture with Italian jeweler Bulgari SpA. The luxury portfolio will start with up to seven hotels in prime locations around the world. Sites under consideration include London, Rome, Paris, New York, Miami, and Southern California. Bulgari Hotels & Resorts and Marriott's existing luxury brand, Ritz-Carlton, will be headed by William R. Tiefel, vice chairman of Marriott International.

The 9th Annual AsiaPacific Incentives & Meeting Expo took place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in Australia in February. AIME, the third-largest meeting event in the world, was organized for the first time this year by Reed Travel Exhibitions. Exhibitions included product and services from 62 countries.
