OBSERVATION STATION
Elevate Yourself
If you plan to spend the big bucks to sponsor the Boston Marathon, a summer concert series, or some other outdoor event, throw in another $8,500 to elevate your VIPs from the masses. That sum will get you a portable skybox for one to four days, including delivery and setup.
The Observation Station debuted at a PGA tournament in early March, showing off its tented, tiered observation deck that seats about 40 guests, and air-conditioned space below that includes two bathrooms (one is wheelchair accessible) and a food preparation area with refrigeration.
The Observation Station is essentially a self-contained, souped-up trailer. Outrigger supports stabilize the unit and create added space for the rooftop observation deck.
For a look at a floor plan, visit the Observation Station Web site at www.instantskybox, or call the company's Marlboro, Md., headquarters at (800) 746-5431.
