A new Web playback service at the Network Meeting Center at Techmart in Santa Clara, Calif., can digitize your meeting presentations and get them on the Web in three days — all accessible with a 56K modem.
The best way to understand the new service is to visit the Network Meeting Center home page (www.networkmeetingcenter.com) and click on the Web playback button. However, here are the basics: Conference center technicians make a digital audio recording of a presentation, convert the speaker's PowerPoint slides into a Web-ready format, and syncronize the two. On the Web, a clickable outline of the presentation appears on the side of the screen, allowing viewers to jump to the sections that interest them most.
