The Convention Industry Council has endorsed the Professional Convention Management Association’s online prep course as the “official study course” for CIC’s Certified Meeting Professional exam.
“As the administrator of the CMP Examination, the CIC is excited to endorse PCMA’s CMP Online Prep Course as the official study course for the exam because it has had such a great, proven success rate at preparing candidates for exam day,” said Kimberly Miles, CMP, 2009 Chair, CMP Board of Directors, in a press release.
According to PCMA, 98 percent of those who have taken PCMA’s CMP Online Prep Course have passed the exam on the first attempt.
“The course is designed to deliver the knowledge needed to pass the exam and is completely online and available 24/7,” said Deborah Sexton, president and chief executive officer at PCMA, in a press release. The online course costs $299 for PCMA members and $399 for non-members. For groups of three or more from the same organization, the cost is $249 per participant. PCMA also will offer a live CMP Cram Study Course on January 8, 2010, one day before the CMP exam on January 9, 2010, at the PCMA Annual Meeting in Dallas.
