Have a conference in Boston, New York, or Washington, D.C. this summer? If attendees drive their hybrid cars to one of the Kimpton Hotel properties in those destinations, they'll save money on their room.
Kimpton's “Green Road Warrior” package, available through September 30, offers guests a $20 per night room discount if they arrive in hybrid vehicles. Participating hotels include the Onyx Hotel in Boston; Hotel Marlowe in Cambridge, Mass.; 70 Park Avenue Hotel and The Muse Hotel in New York; and the Hotel Madera in Washington, D.C.
Encouraging and rewarding “green-minded” guests is in line with Kimpton Hotels' commitment to the environment. The chain prides itself on delivering a premium guest experience through the use of eco-friendly products and services, such as environmentally friendly cleaning supplies, water and energy conservation measures, and recycling programs.
For its commitment to energy management, the Onyx Hotel won the 2006 Good Earthkeeping Award from the American Hotel and Lodging Association.
