Travel and Meetings Boycotts Hit Arizona Over Immigration Law

Boycotts of meetings in, and travel to, Arizona are continuing, in protest of SB 1070, legislation passed by the state in April that is considered the strictest illegal immigration statute in the country. While at least 23 meeting cancellations had been recorded by the Arizona Hotel and Lodging Association as a result of the boycotts at press time, some travel and meetings industry supporters argue against the tactics.
