Butler Leaves AMC Institute

Francine Butler, PhD, CMP, CAE, executive vice president at the AMC Institute, will be leaving the organization this summer.

Butler joined the AMC Institute in 2009 from the Resource Center for Associations, a Denver-based association management company, where she was president. Before coming to the AMC Institute, she served on its board for six years. She leaves the AMC institute to work at Empressa Consulting, a consulting firm she founded. She’ll consult associations, particularly emerging associations.

“We appreciate what Francine brought to the Institute and the progress that has been made in the past two years and wish her all of the best in her future endeavors,” said AMC Institute President Richard Cristol.

Andrea Bower, executive director at the AMC Institute, will take on Butler’s duties. “Members, partners, and constituents of the AMC Institute community can expect to continue to receive the same great level of customer service and should look forward to the Institute of the future,” said Bower, the executive director at AMC Institute, which is run by Philadelphia-based association management company Fernley and Fernley.

You can reach Butler at her new e-mail address, francine@empressaconsulting.com.
