Lighting is lighting and not very exciting, right? You will change your opinion after checking out Cinimod Studio's blog-style Web site, www.cinimodstudio.com. London-based Cinimod specializes in the fusion of architecture and lighting design; that's a formal way of saying Cinimod creates really cool, imaginative, interactive things with lighting.
Cinimod founder Dominic Harris has a passion for interactive art and lighting design, and he has produced projects worldwide.
Harris is creative — really creative. He worked with a team of specialists to build a UFO for the 2008 Festival of Stars in Gdansk, Poland. The UFO flew over the coast and circled the city (see photo above) before arriving at the festival. (www.cinimodstudio.com/ufo-project#more-190).
Cinimod's core skills include event design, plus lighting design, artwork design and fabrication, and electronic design. Pictured below are Cinimod's LED table centerpiece lights, put to use at an event in London.
