Hyatt Regency Gets an Upgrade
The Hyatt Regency St. Louis Riverfront reopened on July 1, following a $63 million renovation that transformed the property from top to bottom. The 910-room hotel, which offers views of the Gateway Arch from 350 of its guest rooms, received upgrades such as 37-inch flat-screen TVs, iPod docking stations, and high-speed Internet access in all rooms. The new Gateway Ballrooms and Terrace on the 18th floor now provide an additional 4,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, bringing the hotel's total meeting space to 83,000 square feet. The largest ballroom is 20,000 square feet in area. Also on site are three restaurants: RED Kitchen Bar, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, and Brewhouse. In addition, Wi-Fi access is available in all public spaces, while the hotel's business center and 3,000-square-foot fitness center are accessible 24 hours a day. A bonus for groups: Venues such as Busch Stadium, the America's Center convention complex, and the Edward Jones Dome are all within walking distance.

The News: The resort unveiled a new event space, La Playita Beach Club, in March.
Specs: 365 guest rooms; 27,000 square feet of meeting space, including seven meeting rooms, and two ballrooms. La Playita Beach Club provides an additional 17,000 square feet of space for up to 700 attendees.

The News: The new Kimpton Hotels property opened in April.
