Hyatt Regency Indianapolis
After a $13 million renovation, the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis has added 10,000 square feet of meeting space. The centerpiece of the project is the new 8,226-square-foot, column-free Cosmopolitan Ballroom. A foyer/registration area outside the third-floor ballroom overlooks the 21-story atrium, onto which all 497 guest rooms open. Also on the third floor, administrative offices have been transformed into two meeting rooms totaling 1,546 square feet.
The new ballroom and meeting space complement the existing 9,400-square-foot Regency Ballroom on the second floor. The hotel has a total of 21 meeting rooms, two ballrooms, and 35,000 square feet of meeting space, all of which received new carpeting and wall coverings in the renovation.
Two new eateries anchor the renovated lobby. The lobby itself has new stone flooring, contemporary furnishings, and a redesigned front desk and entryway with several new check-in kiosks. Enclosed “skyways,” or elevated walkways, connect to the Circle Center Mall, the Indiana Convention Center, RCA Dome, and seven other city hotels. — Dave Kovaleski
