Putters of the Caribbean at Disney
Looking for an “arrrgghsome“ event? Check out “Putters of the Caribbean,” one of three new themed group golf events introduced by Walt Disney World Resort, Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
Each foursome is a pirate crew and each green is an island to be captured. The crews take their orders from Captain Jack Mulligan. Buccaneer grub, hearty grog, treasure chests, and theme music abound.
Another golf event for groups is “Around the World in 18 Holes.” From Oktoberfest to a salsa party, each hole features a themed décor, music, beer and wine, international delicacies, and entertainment.
Finally, there is “Disney's Pro Golf Tour Event” where players are introduced at the first tee by an ESPN Club announcer, greeted by autograph -seeking fans, and interviewed and filmed during the round.
