Cynthia Fisher has joined the International Association of Convention & Visitor Bureaus in Washington, DC as director of education. Previously she was director of training and guest services with City Hotels USA in Bethesda, MD.
The Greater Washington (DC) Society of Association Executives has named Ronald F. McNally, CAE, vice president, marketing and member services. An 18-year veteran of association management, McNally was most recently director of marketing and membership at the Food Processing Machinery & Supplies Association in Alexandria, VA.
The American Hotel & Motel Association has announced three promotions. Thierry Roch has been promoted to vice president of industry relations. She had been director of member relations. Assuming her former position is Sally Brasse, who was the associate director of allied membership. Karin Johnson has taken over Brasse's position, having been promoted from her previous position of allied membership coordinator.
Gerald J. "Jay" Donohue, Jr., CAE, has been named to the new position of vice president of membership for the Professional Convention Management Association in Birmingham, AL. He had been director of the membership division and manager of family convention activities with the American Academy of Family Physicians in Kansas City, MO.
Meeting Professionals International has appointed Meredith Hunt as manager of special interest groups. She had served as manager, resource center and communications for the Trade Show Bureau in Denver.
