CMM Wins European Union Funding
The Certificate in Meeting Management (CMM) program, Meeting Professionals International's university-certified qualification, has recently been awarded funding from the European Union. The news, announced at the opening session of MPI's sixth annual Professional Education Conference-Europe, generated much excitement among the 300 attendees. The con ference was held in Copenhagen, Denmark, from April 19 to 21.
The $170,000 granted by the EU will be used to develop European course materials, restructure the curriculum, and develop the CMM certification into a regular university elective course throughout European universities, with a pilot training course at the Institut de Management Hotelier International in Paris.
