Debbie Ramirez has joined the Pasadena (Calif.) Convention and Visitors Bureau as national sales manager. Most recently, she was sales manager for the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Rick Binford has resigned from his position as president and CEO of the Metropolitan Detroit Convention and Visitors Bureau. A presidential search committee will be formed by January 1999. Meanwhile, Larry Alexander has been named acting president and CEO. Alexander formerly served as general manager of the Westin Hotel--Detroit.

The Savannah (Ga.) Area Convention and Visitors Bureau has appointed Anthony Schopp president. He formerly served as area director of sales for Westin Hotels and Resorts; his offices were in Washington, D.C., and Atlanta.

The Atlantic City (N.J.) Convention and Visitors Authority has promoted Joseph C. Di Girolamo to vice president, convention development. He had been acting director.

The Salt Lake (Utah) Convention and Visitors Bureau has promoted Dianne Nelson Binger to senior vice president. Previously, she served as vice president of sales and marketing.

The Nashville (Tenn.) Convention Center has promoted Timothy M. Strobl to director of sales. He had been interim director of sales.
