The Baltimore Area Convention and Visitors Association has promoted Jamie Rice to senior sales manager. She had been national sales manager with BACVA. Casandra Brown has also been named senior sales manager. Brown joins from the Wyndham Anatole Hotel in Dallas, where she was national sales manager. Both women will cover the Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. markets.
The Providence/Warwick (R.I.) Convention and Visitors Bureau has announced several staff appointments. Kathleen Ceseretti has joined as national sales manager. Ceseretti, who will handle national associations based in Chicago and the western half of the U.S., is a 20-year hospitality industry veteran. She most recently served as director of sales for the Holiday Inn Mansfield (Mass.). Ardena Lee-Fleming has been promoted to senior sales manager in the convention sales anddepartment. She was formerly national sales manager and will continue to handle the religious and multicultural markets.
The Oklahoma City Convention and Visitors Bureau has named Christine Wise director of convention sales and services. She previously served as director of convention and sports marketing for the Tulsa (Okla.) Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Claire Bilby has been named vice president of sales and travel operations for the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif. A 10-year Disney veteran, Bilby was most recently based in Orlando, Fla., where she served as director, international marketing, for Walt Disney Attractions.
The Forth Worth (Texas) Convention & Visitors Bureau has appointed Douglas Boone, Jr., director of group sales and multicultural development. Boone most recently served as national sales manager with the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau.
The Hong Kong Tourist Association has promoted Lily Shum to regional director--the Americas. She had been general manager--marketing communications.
