The Hickory Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau in North Carolina has named Wendy Michelle Morefield sales manager. Previously, she served as tourism sales manager for the Charlotte (NC) Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The Fort Worth (TX) Convention & Visitors Bureau has appointed Susan Kluttz as director of sales--conventions. Most recently, she served as business development manager with the Hyatt Regency DFW Airport in Grapevine, TX.

Dawn Seay has been appointed director of convention sales for the Greater Fort Lauderdale (FL) Convention & Visitors Bureau. She had served as director of sales with the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The Nashville (TN) Convention & Visitors Bureau has appointed Barbara Schwarcz convention sales manager. Schwarcz, who will handle association meetings and conventions that require up to 200 hotel rooms, joins the bureau from the Courtyard Hotel by Marriott New Orleans, where she was the sales and meeting manager.

Mitchell Eaton has joined the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau as convention sales manager. Eaton, who will be responsible for the suburban Washington, DC, market, had been director of sales at the Embassy Suites Hotel Philadelphia Center City.

Melody Lendaro has been promoted to the position of director of sales at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Lendaro, who has been with the center since 1981, had been sales manager.

Yulita Osuba has joined the Tampa (FL) Convention Center as marketing manager. She had been director of convention center sales for the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, FL.

The Florida Tourism Industry Marketing Corporation in Tallahassee has named Jane Brady vice president of sales. Before joining the corporation, Brady had been vice president of travel industry sales for the Long Beach (CA) Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Susan Sweeney has been promoted to vice president, eastern region sales, for the Los Angeles Convention & Visitors Bureau. Sweeney, who will remain based in New York City, had been associate vice president, convention sales in the Los Angeles office.

Sherry Sim has been named marketing manager, western U.S., for the Singapore Tourist Promotion Board (STPB) in Los Angeles as Previously she had served with the STPB as secretary to the senior vice president.

Don Jaeger has been named president of the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau. He had been director of marketing for the Oklahoma City Convention & Visitors Bureau. Jaeger, who serves on the board of directors of the Religious Conference Management Association, replaces Ellen Brown, who has retired.

Brien Zamperetti has joined the Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Association as the business development manager. In that position, he is responsible for small association meetings. He had been sales manager at the Monroe County/Bloomington (IN) Convention and Visitors Bureau.
