Convention Centers and Bureaus
Bob Coffey has joined the Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center, an SMG-managed facility in Jacksonville, FL, as director. He had been general manager of the Marina Hotel (now Radisson Riverwalk Hotel), also in Jacksonville.
The Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau has renewed Paul D. Astleford's contract as president and CEO through April 2000. He has served in that position since April 1994.
The Greater Cincinnati Convention and Visitors Bureau has announced two staff changes. Ramona Crawford has been promoted to manager of the eastern regional sales office in Washington, DC. She had been convention manager. Robert A. Harvey has been named convention manager. He had been sales account manager for the Sharonville Convention Center satellite office, also in Cincinnati.
Anna W. Gaither has joined the Winston-Salem (NC) Convention and Visitors Bureau as senior manager of convention sales. She had been sales manager with the Radisson Marque Hotel of Winston-Salem.
The Palm Beach (FL) County Convention and Visitors Bureau has appointed Donald Potter sales manager. Potter, who most recently served as national sales manager for the PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, will handle meetings, conventions, and trade shows.
