One More Thing About Steve

Great article on the changes initiated by Steven Hacker. (“Which Way to the Future,” page 22, AM February.) But not mentioned was the educational direction that Steve has given IAEM since becoming a part of the association. In regard to the CEM Learning Modules and the CEM designation, Steve has raised the bar in its substance, importance, and recognition. He has also added many important special-interest groups — one of them being for floor managers — where ideas can be shared to assist in the running and managing of the actual trade show.

Good Supplement, Wrong Photo

First, the kudos. The entire Beyond Borders supplement (June AM) was excellent — as always. I am delighted to have been one of the supplement's authors. Now the major disappointment: You ran a very out-dated picture of me. I don't look like that anymore!

Editor's Reply: Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. A big apology to readers and Carol for failing to run a current picture of one of our most important contributors to Beyond Borders and to all of the Meetings Group publications. Here's Carol's current photo.
