The International Association of Convention & Visitor Bureaus in Washington, D.C., has appointed Edward Nielsen president and CEO. Nielsen joins from the Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians, where he had served as executive vice president and CEO for the past ten years.
Edward Potter has been named director of international activities for the American Society of Association Executives in Washington, D.C. He previously worked as an independent international consultant; his recent accomplishments include coordinating the National Center for Nonprofit Boards' International Fellowship in Nonprofit Governance and creating a tri-lingual Web site for Partners of the Americas, Inc.
