When R. William Taylor, CAE, retires as president of the American Society of Association Executives in August, he won't be hitting the links. Instead, he will go right back to work, at his own company, Bill Taylor, Association Consulting, headquartered in the Washington, D.C., area.

The firm will conduct studies on various aspects of association management, including education, effectiveness, communications, governance, and technology. An association management veteran,

Taylor has been ASAE's president for the past 16 years. He looks forward to using his expertise and immersing himself in meaty projects.

"I'd hate to wake up after the annual [ASAE] meeting and not have anything to do," Taylor says. "There's probably not a problem I haven't seen and solved. It will be kind of fun to look at other problems, rather than going out and playing golf."
