Expansions on the agenda at Ocean Edge Resort

Cape Cod’s Ocean Edge Resort & Club, in Brewster, Mass., will open its 5,000-square-foot Mansion Ballroom—which the resort touts as the largest luxury ballroom and meeting venue on the Cape—in April. It will accommodate 300 people, either classroom- or banquet-style, and of course will offer state-of-the-art audiovisual and computer equipment. The space, an extension of the historic Nickerson Mansion, is part of the resort’s $19.5 million renovation and expansion project. With the opening of the new ballroom, Ocean Edge will have 15,000 square feet of meeting space.

Another recent addition at Ocean Edge is the Linx Pavilion, a 2,500-square-foot permanent tent, heated, air-conditioned, and with Internet access, adjacent to Linx Restaurant and offering views of the golf course’s 18th hole.

In May of last year, the 429-acre resort opened the new Nicklaus Design 18-hole course after an $8.5 million renovation, with increased length, better bunker complexes, new tees, and the front and back nine flopped.

Ocean Edge has 335 guest accommodations, a 700-foot private beach on Cape Cod Bay, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis and fitness facilities, and a spa.
