Michael Hatch Joins Fantail

Fantail Consulting & Technologies, a Columbia, Md.–based company that offers computing solutions for the nonprofit meetings industry, has announced that Michael J. Hatch has joined the company as president.

For the past 10 years, Hatch served as senior vice president of sales and marketing with a2z Inc., a provider of event management and marketing software.

“I am excited to have Mike join Fantail, bringing with him a wealth of marketing and sales experience,” said Pat Pathade, CEO of Fantail. “Mike brings with him the unique skill set of having successfully launched and marketed new products within the meetings industry, and we will use his experience and expertise to launch several new products and services for associations and event organizers using the latest cloud technology platform.”

Fantail’s services include business and technology analysis and strategies, project management, business intelligence solutions, software implementation, and systems consolidation and integration. Fantail’s cloud technology is touted as a cost-effective alternative to traditional computing systems.

“There are several big advantages for associations in using systems built on cloud technology,” Hatch said. “Cloud systems are far less expensive than existing association programs and do not require capital budget expenditures. They are four times faster and easier to deploy, and require little or no year-after-year maintenance or upgrade budgeting.”
