IMEX Association Day takes shape for 2010

Highlights
Education, networking, and an evening reception all are targeted to association executives.

IMEX, the Frankfurt-based worldwide exhibition for incentive travel meetings, and events, this week announced its program for IMEX Association Day 2010, set for Monday, May 24. Association Day is organized in partnership with the International Congress and Convention Association, and is designed to provide education and networking for association executives.

Martin Sirk, CEO of ICCA, is set to lead the lineup of speakers with an overview of site selection for international meetings. Greta Kotler, CAE, chief knowledge and strategy officer, ASAE (American Society of Association Executives) & The Center for Association Leadership, will moderate a panel discussion on how to boost membership numbers and revenue. The panel will also look at how associations can increase their influence and develop and market their services in line with their mission and goals.

In addition, Pol Van De Perre, association director of MCI Brussels, will offer tips on leveraging conference content by using online tools. His session will explore ways in which data, ideas, and even full meeting sessions can be created, captured, shared, and archived for the maximum long-term benefit of association members.

IMEX, set for May 25–27, 2010, at Messe Frankfurt, Germany, attracts more than 3,500 suppliers from 150 countries each year, notes Carina Bauer, marketing and operations director. Association Day provides a way for association executives and suppliers to gather for targeted education and networking before the main event, and includes a 700-person reception, to be held at the Westin Hotel in Frankfurt.

Attendance at Association Day is by free registration. View the program and registration information.
