Financial and Insurance Conference Planners’ Green Meetings: Call to Action” webinar will take place July 18 from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Moderated by Financial and Insurance Meetings editor, Regina Baraban, the agenda includes 20 minutes for a live question-and-answer session at the end of the 90-minute program.
The panelists are Shawna McKinley, executive director of The Green Meetings Industry Council, speaking on the basics of what makes a green meeting, how it adds value, and how planners can start the greening process; Michelle White, director, environmental affairs, Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, discussing Fairmont’s Eco-Meet Program and the many ways planners can save money and reduce waste at the same time; and US Environmental Protection Agency representatives Harry Lewis, attorney advisor, and Tiffany Schermerhorn, procurement analyst, on how the EPA is complying with its new green sourcing mandates.
