IAAM Changes Name to International Association of Venue Managers
The International Association of Assembly Managers, based in Coppell, Texas, has changed its name to better reflect members’ jobs and current industry vernacular. The new name is the International Association of Venue Managers, and the Web address has changed to iavm.org.

“Our new name clearly characterizes our industry and aligns the organization with what our members do—manage and operate thousands of venues in communities, metroplexes, cities, counties, territories, countries, and more worldwide,” said John Siehl, CFE, IAVM chairman said in a press release. The name change does not reflect a change of mission or membership.
This will be the fourth name for the 85-year-old organization. It began as the Association of Auditorium Managers in 1924, then evolved to the International Association of Auditorium Managers (1934) and the International Association of Assembly Managers (1996).
