IAEE Brings Back Mid-Year Brand, Builds on TS2 Partnership

The International Association of Exhibitions and Events brings back its Mid-Year Meeting brand this year, July 12-15 in Boston, co-locating with National Trade Productions’ TS2 conference for exhibit and event professionals.

Last year, IAEE partnered with TS2, also known as the trade show about trade shows, to add an educational track for show organizers. However, this year IAEE is increasing its educational offerings and bringing back its own conference branding.

IAEE last held its Mid-Year Meeting in 2003. Back then the association’s name was different (the International Association of Exhibition Management) and the event included a marketplace element.

IAEE’s educational programming includes three full-day courses toward a Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) professional designation. These daylong programs on event operations; security, risk, and crisis management; and selecting service contractors run July 12, 13, and 14, respectively, and will be open to pre-registrants only. IAEE will also host a full-day senior executive round table on July 13 and three hourlong educational sessions on July 14. The latter will look at event public relations, a new digital marketing study, and audience development.

The TS2 conference runs July 13-15, with the expo portion scheduled for the last two days.
