Marriott Centralizes Group Sales in New Orleans
Marriott International has completely reorganized the meeting and convention sales force for its 13 hotels in New Orleans, moving from individual property sales to a 12-member centralized sales team for all Marriott-branded properties in the city.
This will be the first time Marriott has created a city-focused sales effort, and Kristen McMillon-Rauch, market director of sales, will head the new Group Market Sales Organization.
Marriott has five full-service hotels in New Orleans, delivering 2,604 rooms, including the New Orleans Marriott, New Orleans Marriott at the Convention Center, JW Marriott New Orleans, Renaissance Arts Hotel, and Renaissance Pere Marquette. Eight additional Marriotts, including Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn, SpringHill Suites, and TownePlace Suites, bring the chain’s room count in New Orleans to a total of 3,998.
