Wyndham Supports Breast Cancer Foundation on Guests’ Behalf
Dallas-based Wyndham International has partnered its WyndhamByRequest and Women on Their Way programs to help support breast cancer research on its guests’ behalf. When a guest joins ByRequest, which encourages guests to ask for items that enhance their hotel stay, and complete their inaugural stay, Wyndham will make a $10 contribution on their behalf to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Guests can register for the program by filling out a personal profile on www.wyndham.com, where they’ll find more than 300 food, beverage, and leisure activity options to choose from. New members must enter KOMEN as their campaign code. The offer is valid until December 31, 2001.
"The Komen offer embodies Wyndham’s core philosophy of listening and responding to guests’ needs by supporting a cause that affects so many women, as well as brothers, fathers, husbands, and friends," says Dave Johnson, chief marketing officer and executive vice president of sales and marketing for the hotel chain. Wyndham has previously supported the foundation through its Women on Their Way program. In addition to being the foundation’s official hotel company, the chain has helped raise awareness by targeting more than 250,000 guests and employees at more than 155 properties in just the year 2000.
