Billed as the “largest Marriott on Earth,” the Orlando World Center Marriott Resort & Convention Center now boasts the largest pillar-free resort ballroom in the U.S.

In late October, the 2,000-room resort unveiled a 105,000-square-foot ballroom with 10 dedicated loading docks; when connected to the facility’s Palms Ballroom, it provides 150,000 square feet of contiguous, pillar-free carpeted meeting space. The facility also offers more than 50,000 square feet of pre-function space and 60,000 square feet of outdoor event space.

The new ballroom is the latest phase of an extensive renovation and expansion program begun in 2005. Including the new ballroom, the Orlando Marriott now offers 450,000 square feet of flexible event space almost entirely on one level.
