The Hôtel de Glace, or Ice Hotel, just 30 miles from Québec City, offers 36 rooms and suites that can accommodate 88 people per night in icy splendor. The hotel, which is made entirely out of 15,000 tons of snow and 500 tons of ice, offers an Ice Bar reception room and a courtyard that can hold more than 400 people, an Ice Café with a capacity of more than 200, an art gallery, ice slide, and, fortunately, heated indoor bathrooms, as well as exterior spas and saunas. It specializes in events, including corporate receptions, workshops, cocktail parties, and product launches, as well as offering a full array of winter activities such as cross-country skiing, ice skating, snowshoeing, dog sledding, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and sliding.
For group events, the hotel will roll out the red carpet and light the torches guarding the hotel entrance, put your organization’s logo on ice, and provide original ice glasses for toasting. An on-site catering service is available, along with heated tents inside the inner courtyard.
