A four-hour Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) Study Course will be offered at RCMA’s 2013 annual conference, January 29–February 1 in Minneapolis.
RCMA’s director of conferences and events, Dean Jones, CMP, made the announcement yesterday following his return from the CMP Conclave, June 9–11 at the Marriott Waterside Hotel & Marina in Tampa, Fla. The Conclave, an annual event open to all CMPs, is designed to provide education for recertification as well as to give CMPs an opportunity to network and to participate in exam development.
“RCMA's short-term goal is to continue to emphasize the role of professionalism in the faith-based event world and to provide resources to educate and equip our members to pass the certification program,” Jones says. In addition to the CMP Study Course, there will be a CMP information booth in the exhibit hall and several education sessions approved for achieving certification and recertification points, Jones adds.
