Dawn Penfold, CMP

Highlights
Dawn Penfold, CMP, president, The Meeting Candidate Network, New York, envies the Hulk, makes a mean cheesecake, and knows the challenges that people with multiple sclerosis face.

  1. If you could be anywhere in the world, where would you be?
New Zealand or Australia … more realistically, with family and close friends enjoying time together.

  2. What's playing on your MP3 player?
Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Vivaldi, The Eagles, Steve Tyrell, Diana Krall, Santana

  3. If you could be a superhero, what super power would you want?
The mighty Hulk — I love how he can drop the pounds so quickly.

  4. It's time for a second career; what do you choose?
A country club wife. The only stress in life is wondering what fundraiser to get involved with and how to improve my golf game.

  5. When your life story is made into a movie, who should they cast as you?
    Kathy Bates

  6. What's the best book you have read in the past year?
The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. They're page turners!

  7. What's your hidden talent?
It depends on who you're talking to. I would say the ability to analyze a situation, develop solutions, and act on it. I also make a mean chicken soup and cheesecake.

  8. Who inspires you?
My mother. Her life has been a gift to all who have met her.

  9. If you could trade places with anyone, living or from history, for a week, who would you choose?
Oprah Winfrey (but only in a week when she has good guests or is at her home in Hawaii).

  10. What is your favorite cause/charity?
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society. My father had the disease for 40 years.

  11. What do you do to stay healthy?
I lift weights. I love crunching iron. Or relaxing at a Yankees game.
