In addition to being the publisher of business magazines, we've gone Web first.
For some time now, whether or not you’ve realized it, we’ve become a hard news organization, in addition to being the publisher of business magazines. The news and analysis we post on our Web site, is distributed through RSS feeds, our Facebook and Twitter pages, and pushed out through multiple targeted e-newsletters. We blog from trade shows, we post photos of industry events, and we add much-needed analysis to the news of the moment. And we track everything you click on, so we know what you need and focus our efforts on giving you more of that.
We’ve also created content-rich “libraries” of information and links. On our site, you’’ find the most comprehensive collection of articles on Strategic Meetings Management, for example, with everything from case studies to columns on how to get started by Betsy Bondurant (see this month's column on the SMM Triad). New library subjects include Risk Management and Giving Back. You no longer need to use the cumbersome search engines to do research—you just need to bookmark our site.
At our parent company, Penton Media, this approach is known as “Web First.” Our writers produce Web content all month, then hand-pick or flesh out pieces for our print magazines. Our magazines include articles that are too complex or analytical for the Web, like cover stories. Since there’s only so much space in a print magazine, we use MeetingsNet to offer you additional Web-exclusive information (for this article, you’ll find two Web-only case studies of sponsorships done by ConAgra and UPS). You can always count on the print magazine for special features like my monthly editorial, or “Post Con,” our after-hours interview with an industry leader. (This month, it’s Joyce Landry of Landry and Kling)
We further target our information through e-newsletters that appeal to niches of our audience. For example, if you plan international meetings, we have Beyond Borders Extra, and if you want tech news, we have MeetingsNet Tech Extra. You can subscribe to our newsletters right at the bottom of our home page. We also do highly specialized webinars, both live and on-demand, which you can access from the same page for free.
Bookmark MeetingsNet.com today and let us be your most valuable information source!
