Barbara joined Corporate Meetings & Incentives in 1991 and has served as its editor since 1994. She is an active member in many meeting and incentive industry associations, including the National Business Travel Association’s Groups and Meetings Committee and Site Global, where she has served on the Education and Crystal Awards Committees and has been a long-time judge of the Crystal Awards. Barbara is a frequent speaker at industry events, including The Motivation Show. Before joining Penton Business Media, she was managing editor of Computer Design magazine, and a staff writer for Spotlight magazine (now Westchester magazine), in New York. She is a graduate of Binghamton University.

Alison writes feature stories and news articles for the Web sites and print editions of the MeetingsNet magazines: Corporate Meetings & Incentives, Financial & Insurance Meetings, Medical Meetings, Association Meetings, and Religious Conference Manager. She is also the editor of Beyond Borders, MeetingsNet’s annual supplement aimed at planners who hold meetings outside the United States. The former editor of Insurance Conference Planner magazine (later rebranded as Financial & Insurance Meetings), she has been attending Financial & Insurance Conference Planners meetings since 1992. Her articles have earned awards from the American Society of Business Publication Editors and the Society of Incentive & Travel Executives. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Colgate University and a master’s degree in Creative Writing from Boston University.

Rachel joined MeetingsNet in 2007 and has nearly a decade of experience as a writer, reporter, and editor. She has written for several national trade publications including Successful Meetings magazine, Incentive magazine, and Inbound Logistics magazine. Prior to joining Penton Media she was a research analyst with the Aberdeen Group in Boston. Rachel is a member of Meeting Professionals International. She has studied at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Goldsmith’s College in London, and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she graduated with honors.
