Defining Quality

In June, the Society of Corporate Meeting Professionals had one of its most successful Spring Conferences ever. Our theme, "Hands On Quality," came to life in every session and event during our four-day meeting in Marina del Rey, CA.

Throughout the event, I was constantly challenged to grow and had the chance to take a hard look at my personal paradigms. I came to the conclusion that quality is not about process or packaging. Instead, quality is all about people and their drive for perfection.

In the ten years I have been an SCMP member, I've had the honor to interact with many living examples of quality. These extraordinary professionals have made important contributions both to SCMP and to the industry through the selfless donation of their time and talents--without any thought as to reward or recognition. I saw this in the efforts of our conference committee, our membership committee, our directors, and our sponsors. I am thankful to them all for their dedication and hard work.

Join us in Atlanta November 58 for our next conference, and you too can learn more from these industry leaders.

Until then,
