GOING PLACES The 428-room Sheraton El Conquistador Resort and Country Club in Tucson is adding 25,000 square feet of meeting and service areas to nearly double its total meeting space. The expansion will be completed by March 2000.
International Conference Resorts recently completed a $10 million renovation to the 271-room Hastings International Conference Center in Hartford, Conn. Developed as a high-tech center, Hastings offers more than 55,000 square feet meeting space including three amphitheaters and teleconferencing capability in selected meeting rooms.
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has opened the Wyndham Chicago, a 417-room hotel on Chicago's Magnificent Mile. Each room features high-speed Internet access through the hotel's own server. The hotel offers 15,000 square feet of meeting space including two ballrooms and two Executive Boardrooms.
