San Francisco-based Certain Software released version 4.0 of its popular registration and attendee management software, Register123, in June. Among the application's new capabilities are roommate matching and change tracking.
Vanessa Vlay, CMP, Certain Software's vice president and chiefofficer, says that the roommate capability grew out of requests from clients frustrated with manually slogging through the process. Attendees can be matched up based on a variety of factors, including smoking, title, arrival and departure times, where based, and, of course, gender.
With the new change-tracking function, data is kept on the date, time, and reason for changes in an attendee's profile, as well as who made the change. Other upgrades include a new reporting interface and the ability to invite previous attendees to new events.
According to Vlay, the 10-year-old, privately held company is going strong. “We've seen our client list triple in the last year. We've seen our number of registrations probably quadruple,” she says. Among Certain's new clients this year are Deloitte & Touche and Eli Lily.
