What book did you pack for your most recent trip?
John Adams and A Walk in the Darkness. I rarely read one book at a time. (Recently, I finished The Red Tent … . Wow!)
-
Who sits at your fantasy dinner table?
Good question. I'd probably have two different sets [of people]. The political/social activists: Rosa Parks, Rep. John Lewis, Martin Luther King Jr., Eleanor Roosevelt, Mark Twain, and Harriet Beecher Stowe. The other table would be the good friends with whom we laugh and talk politics — the “usual group”!
-
Coffeepot or Starbucks?
I only drink decaf, and it has to be Starbucks. I've been a fan of it since the mid-1980s when I first visited Seattle. Love its iced decaf skinny lattes!

If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you be?
Columbia Gorge area of Oregon or Washington State. Or in Portland, Ore. My happy places!

Who were you in a past life? (Or who would you have liked to have been?)
When I read this, I immediately thought of the Past Lives Pavilion in the movie Defending Your Life! I think I'd like to have been me again, sorta like in the movie Groundhog Day, so I could see the world from different times.
