With Tom Bolman, CAE, executive vice president of IACC
-
What's your favorite ice cream? Pralines and cream on a gigantic waffle cone is my guilty pleasure, because it reminds me of the decadence and overindulgence of “The City that Time Forgot.”
-
Do you doodle in the margins? I love to circle any clever turn of phrase, or any sentence that is particularly evocative or literate — or stupid.
-
What's spinning in your CD player? I've about worn out my “Down from the Mountain” CD, which includes dazzling performances by virtually every living legend of blues.
-
What lunchbox did you carry to school? I always grabbed my Roy Rogers and Trigger lunchbox before I galloped onto the school bus.

If you could lead the life of a movie character, who would it be and why? Any quirky character in any Coen Brothers movie would be fun — but particularly the dapper, silver-tongued Ulysses Everett McGill (George Clooney) in “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” as he made his madcap journey through Depression-era Mississippi after escaping from a chain gang.
Tom Bolman, CAE, joined the International Association of Conference Centers in 1987.
