Bonding on the Fly
There's nothing quite like the solitude of a fly-fishing trip to inject some simplicity and calm into people's daily chaos and to strengthen bonds among a team.
Now, corporate groups have their choice of a two-day fly-fishing program or an abbreviated version at Grande Lakes Orlando Resort, Florida, through its Orvis fly-fishing school. The lessons are suitable for every skill level, and attendees learn to cast, tie knots, read the water, and select the right flies.
The two-day program, which costs $430 per person, is offered Wednesday through Thursday and Saturday through Sunday and includes classroom seminars and field instruction. The ratio of instructors to students is 1-to-4 or less. Individual sessions start at $60 per person.
