CMI at the Motivation Show
Join Corporate Meetings & Incentives at this year's Motivation Show, to be held September 23 to 25 at McCormick Place in Chicago. On Tuesday, September 23, from 10 to 11:15 a.m., MeetingsNet Editorial Director Betsy Bair and CMI Editor Barbara Scofidio will host a panel of industry thought leaders, including members of the CMI 25 (see page 20), and CMI's 20 Changemakers: Louann Cashill, CMP, CMM, meeting services manager, Toyota Motor Sales; Beth Cooper-Zobott, director, conference services, Equity Residential; Cynthia Duggan, CMP, CMM, manager, meetings and events, Abbot Nutrition International; Brenda Anderson, CEO, Society of Incentive and Travel Executives; and Scott Graf, president, BCD Meetings and Incentives. Among other subjects, the panel will focus on procurement and strategic meetings management; attendees will determine the exact content of the session in a pre-show poll. CMI will honor the 2008 CMI 25 — North America's largest and most influential meeting and incentive management companies — at an invitation-only reception on Monday evening, September 22. Immediately following is SITE's 35th anniversary celebration, SITE NITE, which runs from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Peninsula Chicago, 108 E. Superior Street, and is open to all. The keynote speaker at this year's show, featured on page 9 of this issue, is Chester Elton, co-author of several successful leadership books including The Carrot Principle, a New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller, and The 24-Carrot Manager.
