Kati Quigley, CMP, is the 2009 chair-elect of the Professional Convention Management Association, the first corporate planner to hold that position. PCMA, which traditionally geared itself to association planners, has evolved to serve a broader market of high-level meeting professionals. Until now, Quigley was best known as director of event marketing for Microsoft, where she works with a team of 20 in the U.S. and Europe. They focus on large branded and internal conferences, product launches, and trade shows. Before Microsoft, Quigley spent 11 years with Washington, D.C.-area trade associations.
