Carlson Marketing Acquires Meeting Co.
In a move that will bolster its meetings and events team by 25 percent, Minneapolis-based Carlson Marketing acquired the U.S. operations of TQ3Navigant Performance Group, a 30-year-old meeting, incentive, and event management company with offices in Minneapolis; Marlboro, Mass.; and Parsippany, N.J.
Carlson Marketing's sister company, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, acquired NPG's Canadian operations. Carlson Wagonlit Travel has also acquired Navigant's corporate travel arm, Navigant International Inc.
Steve Some, former president of NPG, will become a senior vice president with Carlson Marketing, reporting to Russ Johannesson, executive vice president, U.S. Client Services, Carlson Marketing. The operational aspects of the NPG business will be integrated and aligned with Carlson Marketing's Meetings and Events line of business.
