Closet Rock Stars Welcome
Now that it has clients in Australia singing its tune, a teambuilding newcomer called Song Division is set to launch in the United States in November, having lined up Lehman Bros., Condé Nast, and Tiffany & Co. among its first U.S. clients.
With Song Division, participants meet in a recording studio where they break into teams to write and record an original song. For a group of 30 people, the cost is about $150 per head for a half day, or $240 for a full day, and includes four Song Division staff (musicians and producers), a sound engineer, the use of the recording studio, a film crew to document the day, and a DVD of the experience for each participant. Travel charges are added for programs outside New York City.
The company launched in Sydney in 2004, and has run programs for clients such as Coca-Cola and Boston Consulting Group. For more, visit www.songdivision.com.
