High-Speed Thrills
Although indoor kart racing has been popular in Europe for 15 years, it's a fairly new phenomenon here in the States. And while the word “kart” might conjure up an image of go-carts, this adrenaline-pumping race experience feels just like the real thing: Participants, in real driving suits and safety gear, maneuver these high-tech karts on professionally designed tracks scaled for the size of the vehicles — which are barely an inch off the ground.
F1 Boston, located just south of Boston in Braintree, Mass., has tailored upscale kart racing to corporate groups, who get to experience their own Formula One race day, complete with exclusive use of the tracks, their own race director, a victory lap for the champions, and an awards ceremony on the podium, complete with champagne and trophies. F1 Boston also has its own meeting facility, with two 500-square-foot and one 1,500-square-foot conference room, as well as a 5,200-square-foot exhibition hall. Visit www.f1boston.com.
