hotel union contracts to expire
It could be a rocky year between hotel employers and their union labor. Contracts are set to expire between hotels and Unite Here, a union representing hotel workers, in at least six cities in 2006. At the same time, labor disputes continue in San Francisco, where the Unite Here citywide contract with hotel employers expired in August 2004. The union maintains a boycott against 13 hotels in that city.
