In response to the growth in multicultural meetings and conventions, the Network of Latino Meeting Professionals was formed in January by a group of volunteers in the Washington, D.C., area. The organization is made up of meeting planners and others working in the convention industry, and will meet the third Friday of each month at various locations in the D.C. area. www.nlmponline.org.
