Construction is on schedule for a May 2006 opening of Alpine-themed Zermatt Resort & Spa, Midway, Utah, a facility accredited by the International Association of Convention Centers and managed by Dolce International.

The resort's Matterhorn Conference Center has 28,000 square feet of meeting space in 24 rooms, the largest a 5,000-square-foot ballroom. All meeting rooms have wireless Internet access. There is a separate 13,000-square-foot exhibition center.

Accommodations will be in Hotel de Baer, a four-story Swiss chalet with 226 guest rooms, and in the Chateau Hotel Villas, 26 condo-style villas with one-, two-, or three-bedroom suites. The villas will have their own front desk and concierge, and all guest rooms will meet IACC criteria.

Zermatt's 17,000-square-foot Mountain Rose Spa includes a fitness center, a pool, and 11 treatment rooms.

Recreation will include Alpine and cross-country skiing, windsurfing, waterskiing, horseback riding, mountain biking, and golf nearby.

Midway is less than one hour from Salt Lake City International Airport.
