monorail headed to McCarran
The Las Vegas Monorail Co. plans to extend its service to McCarran International Airport beginning in 2011. Plans include two stops at McCarran — the first at Terminal 1, the main terminal, and a second at the soon-to-be-built Terminal 3. The airport extension will be 4.2 miles long and will run on concrete guideways up to 100 feet above street level. The project will be funded by private investments.
